Yes, I finally did it ~
I've been threatening to make a paper doll blog for forever, but never seemed to be able to commit to it. This was probably because I am always working on other projects and forget how much I enjoy paper dolls sometimes.
But I always come back to them and lately, as I move away from online communities and spieling endlessly about writing (which is never really good for the writing, by the way), I thought it would be nice to have a focused place to share random stuff with the world: my not terribly extensive paper doll collection, original paper dolls that I make (and which I hope I will not destroy), and other artwork and images of the 19th century (mine and otherwise).
Most of my original paper doll art comes from the stories I write (more on that soon), but I am hoping to do a little branching out in the year to come (we'll see!). Either way I hope you will check out my blog and enjoy your visit. I welcome your comments and input!
ABOUT ME
I am a writer who likes to doodle in my spare time. Among my favorite things to doodle is 19th century clothing (notice I don't call it "fashion" per se because the modern connotation of the word would seem to imply a particular style or trend). Creating paper dolls seems to me a natural medium for this.
